What Some Of Our Patients Are Saying

Over the years I have had a fair amount of poor experiences at the dentist and in one instance almost down right torturous. My father recommended All Smiles to me and I have to say beyond any doubt that I would recommend this clinic to everyone. The staff at the reception are so warm and welcoming and the hygienists/assistants are beyond supportive. But its Dr. Igal that takes the cake. He is exceptional at what he does and his communication while you are in the chair is top tier. It's because of him that I no longer worry or feel anxious being in the chair because I know I will be looked after with care. If you are searching for a new dental clinic you are in the right place :)

My son and I had the best dental experience ever I have finally found the most caring and the most amazing dentists and staff! I am forever thankful and grateful for them and all their help! They not only fixed my bad tooth but they made my son's first dental check up a very happy and positive experience. When we got home he wanted to go back and show his teeth! He also loves his tooth brush and uses it every single day 2x a day! Oh and a bonus for me is that they are only 10mins from me! Keep up the wonderful work you guys! I will be recommending you to everyone that looking for a reliable dental professionals non stop! 😁

Dr. Igal Margolin and the assistant worked as a good team: harmoniously clearly and in one visit they were able to solve all my problems. I will not have to leave work again. At the consultation in another clinic they told me that everything was very bad serious expensive interventions or removals were needed. I thought that I would ask again in this clinic and turned to Dr. Igal and I am very happy that I did it. The treatment was professional and besides he speaks Russian as well as English. Thank you!

My experience at All Smiles Dental Center was excellent. The staff was friendly and always ready to help with any questions I had. I want to give special thanks to Dr. Ilana Shapera for her fast and professional assistance with my recent dental issue. Her prompt care not only resolved the immediate problem but also prevented potential complications that could have arisen in the future. I’m really thankful for the high level of care and expertise provided. It’s a relief to know I’m in such skilled hands.

Shine Dental is awesome! Ive been seen by Dr.Maggie and Dr. Ilana anf both are fabulous. Had a filling done most recently with Dr.Ilana she was professional patient kind and so easy to get along with. She took extra time to make sure my bite afterwards was comfortable and it made such a difference. The assistant Carla was also very kind and attentive. The administrator is so friendly knowledgeable and always ready to help. Highly highly recommend.

I absolutely love this clinic I will willingly drive 30 plus minutes to get there. From the front reception staff whom you'll be greeted with the most friendly calming voices/personalities and so incredibly helpful. I've personally had great experiences with dentists and hygienist all my life but never had great front counter experiences. I appreciate everyone at All Smiles and thank you for being great! See you sometime soon!

My family has been going to all smiles for years and we appreciate them. Arlene and Courtney up front are both fantastic. A family member has bad dental anxiety and Arlene offered to hold their hand during a filling when a parent couldn’t be there and it meant the world to us. The hygienists are always kind and efficient. Dr Ilana and Dr Igal are both very kind as well and helpful. Overall we enjoy coming here.

The good folks at All Smiles always know how to accomodate my ever changing appoinment changes due to my work schedule. The staff is always great to talk to and discuss any dental hygiene questions I have without making me feel uneducated about it all. Any question Ive had has come with a easily understandable answer to help better my own knowledge base. Amazing people all round. Never be dissapointed here.

First time visiting All Smiles and it was the most pleasant experience! I was looking for a dentist a little closer to home and I am so happy I was recommended this clinic. Not only was my hygienist and the dentist both extremely efficient gentle and informative I was also in and out of the clinic quickly. Dr Igal is best denist i could have asked for. Just soo caring kind. And beyond gentle. And always willing to listen. He did amazing job with the procedure. Dr Igal Margolin

General Dentist

Dr. Igal Margolin moved to Canada from Israel in 2003 and in addition to English is fluent in Russian and Hebrew. After completing his undergraduate studies at the University of Winnipeg he proceeded to obtain his DMD degree from the University of Manitoba in 2010. Instead of going to work in a private practice however, Dr.Igal decided to spend an additional year at Winnipeg’s Health Sciences Center Dental Residency program providing care to patients with compromised health, special needs, and dental phobias.

Now Dr. Igal uses the skills he learned to provide his patients with the best possible care and help patients who have unique needs and have difficulties receiving regular dental care. But it doesn’t stop there; Dr. Igal is a strong believer in continuing education and professional development. Since graduation he has taken numerous continuing education courses covering a variety of topics including infection control, lasers in dentistry, implant dentistry, cosmetic dentistry, and many more.

Outside of work Dr. Igal loves spending time with his wife Dr. Ilana and their “fur babies” Prince Charles and Princess Penelope the cavalier spaniels. Although winter is not his favorite time of year he does enjoy snowboarding, attempting to skate, and cheering for the Winnipeg JETS. In summer you might not see him around town as much since he enjoys sunbathing and water sports at the lake. But the one thing Dr. Igal loves to do the most is go to the movies, so feel free to tell him about your favorite movies when you see him, he will certainly appreciate it.

General Dentist

Dr. Ilana was born and raised in Winnipeg. With a grandfather, and two uncles in the Dental field you could say Dentistry was in her blood. Dr. Ilana received her Bachelor of Science degree in 2010 from the University of Manitoba. In 2014, she proceeded to obtain her DMD degree from the University of Manitoba.

After graduation Dr. Ilana was eager to start her career and use her skills for the benefit of her patients. Being a perfectionist, Dr. Ilana is already involving herself in continuing education and is growing her knowledge of implant dentistry, treatment planning, and children’s Dentistry. Looking to the future, she is excited to be taking even more professional development courses and staying at the forefront of innovations in Dental techniques and technology.

Outside of work Dr. Ilana loves spending time with the love of her life, but it's not who you think. It is Prince Charles and Princess Penelope her royal canine companions. With her husband (and second in line to the throne), Dr. Igal and their “fur babies”, Charles and Penelope, Dr. Ilana enjoys going for evening walks and spending time playing at the dog park.

Dr. Ilana likes the winter even less than Dr. Igal so don’t expect to see much of her outside, unless it’s with a snowboard strapped to her feet. Summer is truly Dr. Ilana’s season, biking, hiking, or jogging you name it she doesn’t do any of them. But she sure loves to suntan so if you out at the beach there’s a good chance you might bump into her. Like her husband Dr. Ilana loves to go to the movies, but don’t be too quick to discuss any movies with her as she tends to skip the movie and go straight for the popcorn, which is one of her favorite foods.

I think that the time I spend with my patient is valuable to both my patients and me. I will always take the time to get to know my patients and to ensure that my patients are getting the best quality of care. For me its not about “fixing teeth” its about building relationships and helping people.”
Dr Maggie Wen

General Dentist

Dr Maggie Wen obtained her DMD degree from the University of Manitoba in 2017. Upon graduation she moved to Montreal and completed a one-year residency program at McGill University. During her time at McGill University she received advanced training in endodontics, surgery, and management of emergencies/trauma. After completing her residency Dr. Maggie decided to explore the other side of the globe and moved to Sydney Australia to work at a private practice. Missing home and family, Dr Maggie returned to Winnipeg in 2019 where she began her private practice at All Smiles Dental Centre.

Dr. Maggie strives to improve the overall wellbeing of her patients through comprehensive oral care. She never thinks twice when the need arises to come early or stay late, always putting the needs of her patients first. She is exceptionally gifted at being able to provide gentle and kind care putting even the most anxious of patients at ease.

She is fluent in English, Mandarin, and Cantonese and in her spare time Dr. Maggie enjoys hiking, visiting friends, playing Ultimate Frisbee, and spending quality time with her pride and joy, pet bunny Miss Dobby.
