What is Restorative Dental Care?

Restorative dental care covers any procedure which aims to restore your smile's normal appearance and function.

When our dentists fix structural problems such as missing or damaged teeth, they can help restore your smile – and your oral health.

Depending on the issue, the dentists at All Smiles Dental Centre will determine the right restorative treatment option for you.

Dental Crowns & Bridges

Crowns are tooth-shaped porcelain caps that fully cover a damaged tooth to protect it and restore its appearance and function.

A bridge is a fixed restoration that replaces one or more missing teeth. They are difficult to detect, natural looking and custom-made.

CEREC® Avantage

Using CEREC® technology, our dentists can make and place porcelain crowns, inlays and onlays in fewer dental appointments to help restore your smile. No messy, time-consuming impressions, and no temporaries - just tooth-coloured, metal-free restorations in one easy, convenient visit.

Dental Fillings

Tooth-coloured fillings or composite resins are used to repair a damage such as a crack or cavity in a tooth. These fillings can resist moderate pressure put on them with the continual stress of chewing. They can also be used on front and back teeth.

Full & Partial Dentures

At Dentures are artificial teeth used to replace one missing tooth or several in a row (partial dentures), or a whole jaw of missing teeth (full dentures). They allow patients with missing teeth to maintain their face structure, and talk and eat properly.

Inlays & Onlays

Inlays and onlays are tooth-coloured porcelain fillings used to repair cavities when the damage is too extensive for a standard dental filling. They are custom-made in a laboratory and are then permanently cemented to the tooth as a single piece.

Root Canals

At All Smiles Dental Centre, our dentists perform root canals to remove diseased nerves, blood vessels, and tissues from the interior of a tooth. By eliminating decay and bacteria, your dentist can help stop the spread of infection.

Periodontal (Gum) Therapy

Gum disease can infect the tissues of the mouth, including the periodontal ligament, alveolar bone, cementum, gums, and gingiva. If this disease is detected early, our dentists will recommend non-surgical preventive gum therapy. Otherwise treatment methods will depend on the type and severity of the disease.

TMJ Disorder Treatment

The temporomandibular joint (or TMJ) is a hinge joining your jaw to your skull's temporal bones. The disorder of this joint can lead to several issues with your facial muscles and jaw, including painful symptoms such as headaches and jaw pain. Our dentists can test for, diagnose and create a treatment plan for TMJ Disorder.
